IOM Launches New Online Medical Appointment System

10 September 2019, Kathmandu

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) this week (09/09) launched a new online medical appointment system, MyMedicalMigrants in Nepal can now use the platform to schedule their pre-departure health assessments online. They can also access information concerning their upcoming health assessments on MyMedical, as well as contact information for IOM Migration Health Assessment Centres (MHACs) worldwide.

New UN Migration Agency Chief in Nepal Presents Credentials to Foreign Minister Gyawali

Labour Migration a key contributor to GDP

27 April 2018, Kathmandu – Nepal received remittances of NPR 699 billion (USD 6.56 billion) in FY 2016/17 and ranks fourth in the world in terms of the contribution of remittances to GDP, according to a report launched today by Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, with support from IOM, the UN Migration Agency, the International Labour Organization (ILO) and The Asia Foundation.
